K. S. Gopalakrishnan was an Indian actor and film director who worked in Tamil cinema during the 1940s and 1950s. Associated with the early Tamil film movement and later with Gemini Studios, he directed movies including Chakradhari (1948), starring V. Nagaiah and Pushpavalli, and Nam Kuzhandhai (1955). He also appeared as an actor in films of the period and was associated with filmmaker K. Subramanyam and the contemporary nationalist film circle. He is sometimes confused with the later and more prominent Tamil filmmaker of the same name, who began directing in the 1960s.
