Peter Blackie

Peter came to film and TV 15 years ago as an Architect with experience working around the globe and has since focussed his time writing and producing on a number of varied film and TV projects. Peter co-created and co-showran (along with his brother Rob) the Netflix series FRONTIER. In 2021 Peter (along with his brother) created and wrote the sci-fi comic series CLANS OF BELARI for AfterShock Media. Other recent projects include SURREALESTATE (NBC/Syfy), as well as the half-hour comedy SON OF A CRITCH (CBC) and the feminist sci-fi one-hour series ASTRID & LILLY SAVE THE WORLD (NBC/Syfy). Season 2 of SurrealEstate is being released June of 2023. Peter (and Rob) is currently developing the science fiction animated series CERULEA. Peter was born and raised in Gander, Newfoundland. As an Architect, Peter has lived and worked in a number of different locations including New York City, Berlin, Germany, and Sint Maarten in the Netherlands Antilles. He is a registered Architect with The Newfoundland Association of Architects and is a graduate of the Master of Architecture Program at the Technical University of Nova Scotia (TUNS) (1996), the Bachelor of Environmental Design Studies program, also TUNS (1994), and of the Bachelor of Arts Program (Philosophy) at Dalhousie University (1992).
