Martine Barrat is a French photographer, videographer, and filmmaker who has worked in New York since 1968. Best known for her videos and photographs of people in Harlem, Brooklyn and the South Bronx, Barrat’s photographs have appeared in exhibitions all around the world and in a wide range of publications, including The New York Times Magazine, Life, Vanity Fair, The Village Voice, and Vogue.
