Garush Melkonyan

Garush Melkonyan is a visual artist and filmmaker whose practice examines the methods and structures by which we communicate. Working across moving image, installation, and sculpture, he stages environments for his characters and audience to consider how we form language and the invisible societal codes that influence how we engage with others. Many of his recent works even push the limits of language to explore the absurdity of human interaction and our often futile attempts to connect with each other and other species.
