Zachary Cutter is a filmmaker, writer, and actor currently studying film at New York University. His work centers on character-driven stories and complicated human relationships, often exploring themes of identity, isolation, memory, and emotional vulnerability. Since arriving at NYU, he has directed three short films: two intimate relationship-focused narratives and one surrealist piece inspired by personal experiences. His previous work includes The Screen, recipient of a Silver Medal from the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, and One Day, which screened at the Patrick Lives On Film Festival. In addition to his narrative work, he directed two documentaries addressing racial issues within his high school community; both films were later shown to the school board to help encourage structural change within the district. His latest short film, After the Curtain Falls, is set for release in late 2026.
