Torri Higginson (born Sarah Victoria Higginson) is a highly regarded Canadian actress and producer best known for her commanding yet compassionate science-fiction roles. She is universally recognized for portraying the pragmatic diplomat Dr. Elizabeth Weir in Stargate Atlantis (2004–2008), a role she originated and reprised across the Stargate franchise. She is also a theater actress and has appeared in Three Tall Women, Weldon Rising and Picasso at the Lapin Agile.
