Sakae Henmi[辺見栄]: Born in 1950. Graduated from Takasaki University of Economics. In the early 1970s, he was heavily influenced by Fluxus films and Norman McLaren's animations, and from around 1977 to 1983, he produced numerous 8mm "trash films" [EX'F] (a term to which he is particularly attached) under various artist names. Spurred by the interactions among the regulars at LOVE GAME [E#25], a coffee shop he frequented at the time, he established the independent film screening series "8mm Film Exhibition" [8ミリ映画博覧会]in 1979. He was involved in organizing a total of five events until 1983. His films include "Face" (1979), "BIRDS "(1979), "Lonely Cloud" (1981), and "THE CITY" (1982).
