Aron Eisenberg (January 6, 1969 – September 21, 2019) was an American actor and podcaster best known for his role as Nog, the Ferengi, on the television series Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, where he appeared for all seven seasons. Born in Hollywood, California, he was adopted into a Jewish family and was born with a kidney condition that affected his growth, leading to a kidney transplant at age 14. Eisenberg studied theater at Moorpark College and began his career with appearances on television shows like Tales from the Crypt, The Wonder Years, and The Secret World of Alex Mack. Besides Deep Space Nine, he appeared in an episode of Star Trek: Voyager and reprised Nog’s voice in Star Trek Online. Outside of acting, Eisenberg was also a talented photographer and stage director, performing in and directing plays. He was also a passionate advocate for organ donation, having received multiple kidney transplants himself. Eisenberg was married to Malissa Longo and had two children.
